Veterinus Derma Gel

Skin care

Description

Veterinus Derma Gel ® is a skin care gel used as a supplement in the treatment and healing of wounds in animals. It helps to provide and maintain a moist wound environment by increasing the moisture content. Hydrogels have the ability to help clean and debride necrotic tissue. The product is also effective in hydrating the wound surface and liquefying necrotic wound tissue. It is non-adherent and can be easily cleaned without causing trauma to the wound bed. It has a “calming” effect that allows for better tolerance in the treated animal.

Its isotonic micro-active formulation for intensive skin care ensures a protective film-forming effect and prevents bacterial invasion. The use of Veterinus Derma Gel ® therefore avoids the use of additional bandaging when it is not necessary. This product has a low alcohol and isotonic content which accelerates the absorption process and promotes an optimal effect. Furthermore, this product is certified as non-mutagenic and free of cytogenotoxicity or irritant/sensitising effect on epithelial cells. Veterinus Derma GeL® maintains cell viability at a high level and promotes rapid hair regrowth in the original colour. Veterinus Derma Gel ® – in gel form – does not run and stays on the application site.

Veterinus Derma Gel ® is a product manufactured in the United States by the company MAXZENCO and distributed to veterinarians in Belgium through AIP Medical.

Technical features

Features

  • Veterinus Derma Gel® is a hydrogel that protects the skin by maintaining its repair functions.
  • Composed of high molecular weight cross-linked polymers for the maintenance and protection of the skin.
  • The hydrogel maintains cell viability at 97% and thus promotes the healing process.

Indications

Veterinus Derma GeL® is an isotonic formulation available in gel or fluid form indicated for intensive and rapid skin care. Veterinus Derma GeL® ensures a uniform porous barrier of protection against bacterial attack, foreign contaminants, avoiding desiccation and maintaining an ideal percentage of moisture. Bandaging the affected area is therefore not required. Certified non-mutagenic and devoid of cytogenotoxicity or irritant and sensitizing effect on epithelial cells, Veterinus Derma GeL® maintains

cell viability to a very high rate and consequently favors a rapid hair regrowth in the original color.

Staying where it is applied, Veterinus Derma GeL® in gel form will not run off the treated surface.

Directions

Daily cleanse the affected area with warm water or a saline solution, so as to preserve epithelial cells from irritation. Apply Veterinus Derma GeL® generously several times a day, as needed. To help prevent skin proliferation, extend application to the surrounding area.

Caution

When needed, bandage over the gel. After 24 hours, leave surface uncovered as the product ensures a protective barrier (keeping surface moist). Avoid the use of this product on abnormal cell proliferation: warts, ringworm, mud fever,… Ensure cap is replaced after use. Avoid all contact to inside of cap or tip of tube/bottle to prevent product contamination. For animal use only. Keep in a cool dark place away from heat, frost, and toxic radiation. Keep out of the reach of children.

Quality

Veterinus Derma GeL® is formulated based on an exclusive blend of titrated botanical extracts. Unlike plant tinctures or common extracts which have an active ingredients content that varies according to the period of harvesting, weather conditions, quality of soil… Veterinus Derma GeL® contains titrated extracts.

Safety

Veterinus Derma GeL® is totally devoid of toxic or prohibited substances. It is safe to use in competition, during gestation, when licked.
